Even in the madness, there is peace; through all of the chaos, you are writing a symphony.

I have always been drawn to healthcare, initially aspiring to become a pediatrician. However, my career path shifted when my father was diagnosed with colon cancer, and I saw firsthand the compassionate care provided by his nurses. This inspired me to pursue nursing at the University of Memphis Lowenberg School of Nursing.

After graduating, I began my career as a Neonatal ICU nurse at Regional One Health in Memphis. While rewarding, I felt the need to expand my role as a caregiver, which led me to explore nurse practitioner programs. I chose the psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner track at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, combining my passion for caregiving, mental health advocacy, and nursing.

I now work as a psychiatric nurse practitioner, believing in the inseparable connection between mental and physical health. My approach is holistic, treating each patient as a whole person rather than a set of symptoms. I aim to offer not only medication but also therapy, trauma resolution, and mindfulness practices to improve overall well-being and help patients lead more fulfilling lives.

“You can’t cross the sea merely by standing and staring at the water.”

-Rabindranath Tagore

I have been a nurse for over a decade, and I spent most of that time working as a trauma/emergency department nurse in downtown Memphis. My time working downtown gave me the opportunity to see how debilitating it can be for people who are living with untreated mental illnesses, and I saw firsthand the stigma associated with these illnesses. I believe that we, as Americans, are realizing how antiquated it is to place stigma on mental illnesses, but I also realize that we have a long way to go to becoming more accepting of those who are suffering from such. I often compare mental illness to heart disease (or diabetes): people do not ask to have either, both can be a result of genetic factors, both can be a result of environmental factors, and both can occur even when the person is doing everything “right.” There is no reason to be ashamed or embarrassed by a mental illness.

I was born in Florida and spent some of my childhood in Pensacola and Key West, but the majority of my childhood was spent in the Memphis area. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing and my Master of Science in Nursing (Family Nurse Practitioner) degrees from the University of Memphis, and I completed my Post-Graduate Certificate (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner) at Liberty University. I am also a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy Reserve Nurse Corps. Go Navy! Beat Army!

I am thrilled to join the team at Revive Psychiatry and to bring my dedication to providing empathetic, patient-centered care to this outstanding practice. I believe that being a Family Nurse Practitioner, in addition to a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, gives me the ability to see “the whole picture.”

Provider

Finding the right provider can feel overwhelming, and I truly respect the courage it takes to even begin the search.

Hi, and welcome—I’m really glad you’re here.

A little about me: I earned my undergraduate nursing degree from the University of Memphis and completed my graduate training at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, where I also obtained my certification as a Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

I’ve been a Family Nurse Practitioner for nearly six years, with over a decade of experience in healthcare. I began my nursing career in the NICU, caring for some of the most vulnerable patients and their families—an experience that deeply shaped my compassionate, attentive approach to care. Over time, I felt a strong pull toward mental health, especially after working with veterans and seeing how often emotional and psychological needs go unmet. This inspired me to further my training and focus on treating the whole person—mind, body, and spirit.

My goal is to build trusting, therapeutic relationships and provide care that is both evidence-based and deeply human. Through thoughtful conversation, education, and collaborative treatment planning, I strive to address root causes rather than simply manage symptoms. Everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported.

Outside of work, I’m a proud wife and mom to two energetic kids who keep life fun and busy. Family time means everything to me—whether we’re traveling, dancing in the kitchen, reading a good book, or planning our next adventure (even if it’s just a backyard picnic).
